Recall Issued For Ready-To-Eat Chicken Salad Products
Hundreds of pounds of a ready-to-eat chicken salad product is being recalled due to an undeclared nut allergen that was not listed on the label. San Antonio-based Bakkavor Foods USA announced a recall of 1,913 pounds of “Curry Chicken Salad” products but contain Tarragon Chicken Salad products, which contain pecans, a known tree nut allergen. The items subject to recall were produced on August 20, 2019. Longtime Lacrosse Coach From New Canaan Among Six Killed In Plane Crash
A longtime varsity lacrosse coach who grew up in the area was one of six people killed in a small plane in Texas. The twin-engine Beechcraft BE58 crashed about 70 miles northwest of San Antonio on Monday, April 22. Angela Webb Kensinger, 54, a Fairfield County native who grew up in New Canaan, was killed along with her husband, 55-year-old Stuart Kensinger, the Texas Department of Public Safety said. Honduran Living In Stamford Sentenced For illegally Reentering US
A convicted felon living illegally in Fairfield County who is a citizen of Honduras is heading to prison for illegally reentering the country. Erick Sanabria-Hernandes, who was living in Stamford, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of illegal reentry into the United States earlier this year. Sanabria-Hernandes, 34, illegally entered the country and was busted by U.S. Border Patrol officers in May 2004 after he crossed the Mexican border.
