Stamford Man Driving Twice Speed Limit In BMW Convertible Under Influence, Greenwich Police Say A Fairfield County man was busted driving his BMW more than double the legal limit through a busy intersection in Greenwich, police said. Officers from the Greenwich Police Department stopped Stamford resident Robert Homer at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, when his BMW 650xi convertible was clocked going more than 60 mph in a 30 mph zone at the intersection of East Putnam Avenue and Riverside Avenue in Greenwich.
