Six teens were nabbed allegedly burglarizing a home under construction in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Darien around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25. According to Sgt. Dan Skoumbros of the Darien Police, officers responded to a Middlesex Road residence on a report of an active residential burglary/trespassing incident. The 3-11 shift received a report that “six teens” could be seen remotely on video surveillance trespassing or possibly burglarizing a residence that was under construction, Skoumbros said. A 30-year-old woman who targeted grieving families in the Hudson Valley will spend more than a decade behind bars after being found guilty of burglarizing multiple homes in the region. In October, Bronx resident Latonia Stewart was found guilty of six counts of burglary and criminal possession of stolen property following a weeklong trial for a rash of New York and Connecticut burglaries in Westchester, Fairfield, and Putnam counties between the winter of 2017 and spring 2018. Jewelry Stolen In Fairfield County Home Burglary
Police in Fairfield County are asking the public for help in connection with a residential burglary in which jewelry was taken. Ridgefield Police were notified of the burglary around 11:45 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 7, when they responded to Great Pond Road. When officers arrived on the scene they found that forced entry was made into the home by breaking a basement window, said Capt. Shawn Platt of the Ridgefield Police. Woman Confronts Stranger Coming Up Stairs Of Fairfield County Home, Police Say
Police are investigating a residential burglary in which the resident was at home while it was in progress in Fairfield County and confronted the man. The incident was reported to police around 8:30 a.m., Thursday, June 10, at a home on Ridgeley Street, in Darien. Fairfield County continues to contend with a rash of burglaries as opportunistic fraudsters break into unlocked homes and cars that are parked in the area overnight. The Darien Police Department issued an alert on Thursday, Jan. 10, as they continue to experience an increase in overnight-hour burglaries into unlocked vehicles. Following an arrest of a 19-year-old Bridgeport man for his alleged involvement in a Westport home burglary and a series of others, police announced they have identified two Norwalk juveniles who are also involved in the crimes. Know Him? Police Seek To ID Suspect In Fairfield County Burglary
Police are searching for a man considered a person of interest in connection with a residential burglary. The incident took place around 7:50 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, on Marcroft Street in Stratford, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti. A window air conditioner was removed to gain entry into the house. Investigators are looking to identify the man pictured who was seen walking up and down the street prior to the discovery of the burglary, Eannotti said.
