Man Nabbed In Trumbull For String Of Burglaries In Multiple States, Police Say A New York man driving a truck with a stolen license plate wanted for its involvement in numerous alleged burglaries in surrounding states was nabbed after a short chase in Connecticut. Rash Of Residential Burglaries Reported In Trumbull Police in Fairfield County are warning residents about a rash of residential burglaries. The burglaries have been taking place in the Trumbull area and neighboring communities, Lt. Brian Weir, of the Trumbull Police said. New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski said the burglaries began on the first day of October and ran through Friday, Oct. 29. The burglaries include: Friday, Oct. 1, around 9 p.m., the department investigated a residential burglary of an unoccupied home on Butler Lane. This home did not have an alarm system.
