Pet Snake Abandoned Along CT Highway Dies From Frigid Cold: 'No Animal Deserves This' Connecticut animal control officials said they couldn't save a pet snake left on the side of a highway over the weekend in subfreezing temperatures. In a Facebook post on Friday, Feb. 2, North Haven Animal Control announced the reptile's passing despite officers' attempts to keep it alive.
