Man Struck By Police Vehicle Outside Local PD Department In Fairfield County, Cops Say A Fairfield County man was injured after being struck by a police vehicle in front of a local department's headquarters. The incident took place in New Canaan around 9 p.m., Monday, June 27 in front of the New Canaan Police Department at 156 South Ave. The New Canaan Police vehicle was exiting the parking lot of 156 South Ave., to turn right onto South Avenue to head north, said Lt. Jason Ferraro, of the New Canaan Police. "As this vehicle was turning right out of the parking lot a bicyclist was struck by the front of the vehicle," Ferraro said.
