Pet Valu is closing all of its stores in the United States starting Thursday, Nov. 5. On Wednesday, Nov. 3, in a press release owners said the economic impact of COVID-19 has forced their decision to close 358 stores across the nation. There are dozens of Pet Valu retailers located in Connecticut. Pet Valu Canada will not be affected by the changes, owners said in a press release. Car Crashes Into Pet Store In Trumbull
A vehicle crashed into a pet store plowing all the way inside the building after the driver reportedly lost control, officials said. The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, April 14, at the Pet Valu store located at 37 Monroe Turnpike, said the Long Hill Volunteer on Facebook. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a car inside the building with a driver who received only minor injuries, the department said. Four Charged, $3.3K In Counterfeit Hundred Dollar Bills Recovered After Incidents In Darien
Four suspects have been arrested in Darien following a series of incidents involving the use and recovery of counterfeit hundred dollar bills, police say. Darien Police responded to a report of a transaction involving counterfeit money at Pet Value (25 Old Kings Hwy. North) on Saturday, March 2 around 6:45 p.m. Officers arrived and discovered that the suspect had fled the area.
