The incident began around 4:40 p.m., Monday, Dec. 28, after the Derby Police Department responded to the area of Hawkins Street near Seventh Street on reports of multiple gunshots.   Witnesses and video surveillance revealed a white Kia SUV fleeing the scene. Connecticut State Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a suspect who stole a handbag from a local Five Guys restaurant. Members of the Oxford Police Department and Connecticut State Police troopers were dispatched to the burger joint on Oxford Road at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, where there was a report of the stolen bag.
