Woman Flees From Bedroom After Being Caught By Homeowner During Darien Burglary, Police Say A woman hot-footed it out of a Fairfield County home after being caught by a homeowner intruding in the middle of the night, police said. An Overbrook Lane resident reported to police shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10 that there had just been an intruder in her home who stole various items and items from under a Christmas tree. Police said that the homeowner stated that she was in her second-floor bedroom when she heard a noise.
