Two CT Women Nabbed Stealing $5K In Goods, Taking Police On Pursuit, Police Say
Two Connecticut women were nabbed allegedly stealing more than $5,000 in goods from a Fairfield County store.
Denaisha Stephenson, age 29, of Manchester, and Tania Anderson, age 34, of Hartford, were arrested by Greenwich Police on Tuesday, April 20, after responding to a Greenwich Avenue store for a report of shoplifting, said Lt. John Slusarz.
According to Slusarz, officers responded to the store after employees spotted them secreting items worth more than $5,411, into bags they were carrying.

Police arrested two men in connection with the theft of more than $20,000 in high-end handbags from a Fairfield County merchant.
Members of the Greenwich Police Organized Retail Criminal Activity Unit chased three suspects on foot down Greenwich Avenue on Wednesday, Jan. 27, after they were observed steeling high-value handbags from a local merchant, said Lt. John Slusarz.
Two of the suspects were apprehended after a brief foot pursuit and struggle. The third suspect got away with over $20,000 of merchandise, Slusarz said.

Second Man Charged With Stealing $10K Of Designer Handbag In Greenwich
Police have arrested a second Westchester man in connection with the theft of more than $10,000 worth of handbags from a Greenwich Avenue store.
Gerald Smith, 48, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 20, for the Jan. 15 theft, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz.
On April 4, Greenwich Police arrested Joshua Spillman, 40, also of Mount Vernon, and charged him with organized retail theft greater than $10,000, conspiracy to commit larceny and larceny.
Smith was caught by Nassau County Police where he was arrested on unrelated charges.

Greenwich Traffic Stop Leads To Discovery Of Stolen Wallets Valued At $2K, Police Say
Two men are facing charges after a Greenwich traffic stop led to the discovery of two stolen wallets valued at around $1,000 each, police say.
Greenwich police conducted a traffic stop Wednesday, Feb. 13 at around 1:30 p.m. after observing a vehicle run a stop sign. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Julio Patrone of the Bronx, was found to have no license.
Further investigation also led to the discovery of two Alexander McQueen wallets inside the vehicle, one valued at $995 and the other at $1,095 for a total of $2,090.

Two people wanted stealing more than $7,000 in handbags from Saks Fifth Avenue in Greenwich were nabbed out of state.
Greenwich Police issued warrants for the arrest Yeico Guzman-Fernandez, 18, of New York City; and Mariel Miranda-Guerra, of the same address, following the theft of three handbags from the store with a combined worth of $7,000 on July 31, 2018, said the Greenwich Police.
