Fairfield Bank Robbery Suspect Caught In Westport After Chase, Two Crashes, Police Say A 29-year-old suspect is in custody after crashing his car twice following a bank robbery at the Stop & Shop on Kings Highway Cutoff in Fairfield, police say. The suspect, Nirav Patel of New Britain, passed a note to a teller demanding cash and left the bank with an undetermined amount of money just before 3 p.m. Friday, May 17, Fairfield Police said.
