NY Barber, Known As 'World's Oldest,' Dies At Age 108 A Hudson Valley man known as the "world's oldest barber" has died. Anthony Mancinelli died on Thursday, Sept. 19 at his Orange County home in New Windsor. He was 108. Mancinelli started cutting hair at age 11 years old. Remarkably, he kept at it for almost a century.  In 2007, he was cited by the Guinness Book of World Records as the “world’s oldest barber” -- a designation repeated each year since then. Mancinelli was born March 2, 1911 in Montemilone, Italy. The son of John and Savino Madrisi Mancinelli. Anthony came to America in September of 1919, on the ship Caserta. …

Darien Woman Charged With DWI In NY Nearly two dozen Hudson Valley residents were 37 residents arrested over the weekend for alleged impaired driving in the area over the weekend. Local residents charged include: Orange County On Friday, March 1, State Police troopers from Middletown arrested Tara Moffatt, 30 of Middletown, for DWI. She was traveling on Wickham Avenue in Middletown when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Woman Who Embezzled $1.1M From Darien Auto Dealer Sentenced A Hudson Valley woman is heading to prison after admitting to embezzling more than $1 million from a BMW dealer she worked at in Fairfield County. Vanessa Vence-Small, 50, of New Windsor in Orange County, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for embezzling $1.1 million from Continental BMW of Darien. From October 2014 to June 2017, Vence-Small made 65 unauthorized electronic fund transfers, totaling $904,659.29, from the dealership’s bank account to her personal American Express account. Woman Admits Stealing $1.1M From Darien BMW Dealer A Hudson Valley woman has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $1 million from an auto dealer where she worked in Fairfield County.
