Woman, 40, Charged With Assaulting Teen On CT Transit Bus
A 40-year-old woman has been arrested for assaulting a teen on a Connecticut Transit bus in September. Marquita Mcelya of New Haven was arrested Thursday for the assault which took place on Sept. 22, said Hamden Police Capt. Ronald Smith. According to Smith, a 16-year-old Hamden resident told police that she when she entered the bus in the vicinity of Dixwell Avenue and Putnam Avenue, Mcelya immediately began provoking her.
