Truck From Fairfield County Business Identified In Fatal Hit-Run Crash State Police are looking at a Fairfield County business in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a Bridgeport woman on Route 8. Maria Mendoza-Robles, 54, was struck around 8 p.m. Thursday while attempting to walk across busy southbound Route 8 near Exit 5 in Bridgeport, said Connecticut State Police. ID Released For Woman Struck, Killed By Truck In Hit-Run Route 8/25 Crash State police have released the identity of a Bridgeport woman who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run dump truck driver as she attempted to cross Route 8/25.Maria Mendoza-Robles, 54, was struck and killed around 8 p.m. Thursday in the southbound lane near Exit 5 in Bridgeport, said the Connecticut State Police.  Troop G had received numerous 911 calls saying a woman was attempting to cross the highway right before the accident occurred, they added.
