Stopped Vehicle In Darien Roadway Leads To DUI Charge For Stamford Man, Police Say A Stamford man is facing DUI charges after police say his vehicle was stopped on the roadway in Darien. Darien Police say they observed a dark-colored sedan stationary on Hecker Avenue at the intersection of Post Road on Saturday, May 4 around 12:30 a.m. Police say the vehicle’s signal was on flash and that it was not moving despite the lack of traffic. The vehicle started to move without using headlights as the officer approached it, eventually turning West onto Post Road without signaling, police say.
