Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont said on Thursday, Jan. 7, health officials confirmed the first two cases in the state of the COVID-19 variant B.1.1.7, which is the same variant that was initially discovered in the UK and is said to be up to 70 percent from infectious. On Thursday, Oct. 1, the Irish Supreme Court ruled that Subway's “bread” did not meet the standard definition of the food item. A second teacher, who has since died, was also accused by one of the three with assaulting him three decades ago.
