Surveillance Helps Nab Fairfield County Man Wanted In Drive-By Shooting A Fairfield County man awaiting trial on assault charges has been arrested again in connection with an alleged shooting earlier this year. Dominique Jones, age 28, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, Aug. 2, by the U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task Force in connection with a shooting in February, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management. The shooting occurred on the city's west side near the intersection of Maplewood Avenue and Howard Avenue, Appleby said. Fatal Fairfield County Shooting 'Not Random,' Police Say A Fairfield County man was found shot to death in the bedroom of an area apartment. John Randall Patrick Jr., of Bridgeport, was found around 4:55 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, when Bridgeport Police responded to Howard Avenue, for a report of a person shot, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran. Responding officers located the unresponsive 22-year-old in a bedroom located inside the second-floor apartment of 978 Howard Ave., Gilleran said.  Medics arrived and pronounced Patrick dead. Norwalk Man Who Tried To Conceal Handgun Caught With Cocaine, Crack, Bridgeport PD Says Police found a concealed handgun, narcotics, cocaine, crack and marijuana in the vehicle of a Fairfield County man who ran a stop sign, bringing their total of recovered illegal firearms this month to more than than 30, with 20 subsequent arrests, police said.
