Greenwich Man Dies After Being Struck By SUV Driven By Stamford Resident An 84-year-old man hit by an SUV in Fairfield County has died from his injuries. Greenwich resident Larry Kosterich was struck around 6:25 p.m., Friday, Jan. 24, on Hamilton Avenue by a 1998 Toyota 4 Runner driven by a Stamford resident, said the Greenwich Police. The driver of the car stopped and remained on the scene, police said. Kosterich died in the hospital over the weekend from complications related to his injuries, police said. Weston Motorist Who Crosses Double Yellow Line Driving Under The Influence, Greenwich PD Says Police nabbed a 30-year-old area man for DI after he was stopped for failing to maintain a single lane while driving. Benjamin Knudsen of Weston was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 22 after being stopped on Hamilton Avenue in Greenwich for driving over the double yellow line and failing to stay in his lane, said Lt. Martin O'Reilly. When officers spoke with Knudsen they could see he had bloodshot, glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, police said.
