Residents in a northern Connecticut town are speaking out after an Enfield High School football player was called a racial slur during his team's annual fundraising program. The player approached a home to sell a "fundraising item" when the homeowner called the player a racial slur among other statements on Saturday, Aug. 13, Enfield Superintendent Christopher J. CT Girl Struck, Killed In Crash Involving Distracted Driver, Police Say
A 14-year-old Connecticut girl was hit and killed by a texting driver who had allegedly been swerving all over the roadway prompting 911 calls, according to police. Hartford County resident Jaylene Gonzalez of Enfield was hit by a pickup truck around 3:15 p.m., Sunday, March 6, as she walked along 150 North Road with her 12-year-old cousin in East Windsor. Jersey Mike's To Open New Location In Connecticut
A popular sandwich shop is set to open a new location in Connecticut later this week. Jersey Mike's Subs announced that it will host the grand opening in Hartford County on Wednesday, Nov. 17. Suspect At Large In Stabbing Death Of 16-Year-Old, State Police Say
Police are on the hunt for a "person of interest" involved in the overnight murder of a 16-year-old boy. Enfield detectives, along with the Connecticut State Police Major Crimes Unit, are investigating the stabbing death of Justin Brady, police said. A student at Enfield High School, the teen was stabbed at an Enfield home at 15 Hoover Lane. Police have released little information except to say they are investigating the event.
