Police Seeking Public’s Help In IDing Suspects In Westport Burglary Probe Police are enlisting the public’s help in an investigation following a burglary. The Westport Police Department has opened an investigation following a residential burglary that occurred in the afternoon on Wednesday, Aug. 7. This includes residents in the streets and areas surrounding Bayberry Lane near Easton Road, Meeker Road, etc., police say. Police say the suspect(s) may have approached other residences prior to committing the crime. Police: Westport Man Found Asleep In Car Early In Afternoon Under Influence A man was busted allegedly drinking and driving by officers after being found asleep behind the wheel in the middle of the afternoon, according to police in Westport. Officers from the Westport Police Department were dispatched at approximately 1:15 p.m. on March 27, where there was a report of a man asleep at the wheel with his car idling outside an Easton Road home. Police said the officers were able to identify the vehicle on the eastbound side of the roadway, and after several attempts, were able to get the attention of the driver, later identified as Westport resident Justin Arcune.
