Coli Outbreak Linked To Raw Milk Cheese A new multistate E. coli outbreak linked to raw milk cheese has sickened nearly a dozen people and led to a recall, according to federal authorities. In a Food Safety Alert issued on Friday, Feb. 16, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said six of 10 illnesses reported in four states came from those who said they ate RAW FARM brand raw cheddar cheese. Four of those infected have been hospitalized and one developed hemolytic uremic syndrome, a serious condition that can cause kidney failure. No deaths have been reported. Ground Beef Recall Issued Due To Possible E. Coli Contamination Check your freezer. More than 132,000 pounds of ground beef products made from the chuck portion of the carcass has been recalled due to an E. coli outbreak,  the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced. One person has been killed and 17 sickened as a result of the outbreak. The beef was produced and packaged at Cargill Meat Solutions in Colorado on June 21 and shipped to retailers nationwide.
