Fatal Crash: Bridgeport Man Pulled From Underneath SUV A 41-year-old Fairfield County resident was killed during a crash with an SUV at a busy intersection. The incident occurred in Bridgeport around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Colorado Avenue. According to Capt. Man Shot In Face In Bridgeport A man was shot once in the face on Monday night in Bridgeport, according to police spokesman Av Harris. The shooting took place in the area of Colorado Avenue and Howard Avenue around 6 p.m., Harris said. The victim was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center by medics and was listed in stable condition as of 10 p.m. Monday, Harris added. No other information was immediately available, Harris said.
