Man Nabbed Stealing More Than $3K In Items From Fairfield County Businesses An area man has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $3,000 worth of cigarettes from two businesses. Clinton Edwards, 50, of New Haven, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 18, by Fairfield Police on a warrant for the thefts that took place in June in Fairfield, said Lt. Antonio Granata. According to Granata, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Walgreens, located at 414 Kings Highway East in Fairfield on Monday, June 22.  An investigation revealed Edwards came into the store and asked to fill out a job application. Man Accused Of Stealing $500 Worth Of Items From Westport Walgreens An area man was arrested for allegedly stealing some $500 worth of cigarettes in a snack-and-grab theft at a Fairfield County Walgreens. Clinton Edwards, 49, of New Haven, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 4, for the alleged incident which took place on Tuesday, June 23, at the Walgreens at 880 Post Road East in Westport, said Lt. New Haven Man With Seven Warrants Out For His Arrest Apprehended In Milford Milford Police have arrested a New Haven man with a whopping seven outstanding warrants out for his arrest. Clinton Edwards, 49, New Haven, was arrested on July 21, while police were investigating the report of a stolen vehicle, police said. Among other things, Edwards is accused of skipping out on scheduled court appearances five times in 2020. Edwards is being charged with possession of a stolen license plate, two counts of larceny, two counts of conspiracy to commit larceny, and five counts of failure to appear, police said.
