The Westport Police Department will be offering a Citizens’ Police Academy for Westport residents beginning March 7. The nine-week course will help up to 24 participants gain a better understanding of the role of the police department in the community. Participants will watch demonstrations by highly trained police officers and get hands-on experience with some of the equipment used every day.
