Fairfield County Woman Killed, Man Critical In Wrong-Way I-84 Crash A 45-year-old Connecticut woman is dead and a man is in critical condition following a wrong-way driver crash on I-84. The collision took place in New Haven County around 6:20 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10, in Waterbury. A 2004 Honda Accord was traveling in the wrong direction on I-84 when it caused two other vehicles to crash, said the Connecticut State Police. Killed in the crash was 45-year-old Fairfield County resident Francisa Jessennia Cortez-Arias of Danbury. 37-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Being Hit By 2 Cars Near Intersection In Fairfield County A Fairfield County resident was seriously injured after being hit by two vehicles. The incident took place in Stamford, around 7:10 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19 in the area of East Main Street, and Lawn Avenue. According to Stamford Police Sgt. Jeffrey Booth, officers responded to a report of a bicyclist hit by a vehicle.  The bicyclist, a 37-year-old Stamford resident, suffered visible injuries during the collision that were initially thought to be non-life threatening, Booth said. Attempted Break-In Report Leads To DUI, Narcotics Bust, Cash Seizure, CT State Police Say A report of an attempted break-in in Connecticut led police to arrest a 25-year-old on charges of driving under the influence and possession of drugs. Troopers responded to a report of an individual possibly breaking into a Litchfield County home in Roxbury at about 11:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 27, according to Connecticut State Police. State Police were given a description of a white Chevy pickup and a male suspect leaving the scene, authorities said. Numerous Vehicles Burglarized While In Parking Lots Of Fairfield County Town, Police Say Police are once again reminding residents to lock their vehicles and remove their key fobs after reports of numerous vehicle larcenies in parking lots in Fairfield County. According to New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski said that since January there have been 25 vehicles stolen and 30 thefts from vehicles in New Canaan.
