Gun Found In Stamford Raid A 20-year-old Stamford man was nabbed with a semi-automatic weapon after the Stamford Police Department received a tip that he was hiding the gun. Charles Brand was arrested for illegal alteration of a pistol serial numbers and interfering with police on around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin. According to Conklin officers in the Narcotics and Organized Crime squad obtained a search warrant and raided Stoneridge Circle home after hearing Brand had a pistol in his possession.
