4-CT Announces New Leadership As It Continues Its Outreach And Expands Its Mission
When Don Kendall and Ted Yang founded 4-CT — the Connecticut Covid-19 Charity Connection — in March of 2020 just as an international pandemic was declared, they never expected the organization to continue past a short-term need. 19: Stamford Schedules Mask Distribution Sites For Public
In an effort to help residents stay safe from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the City of Stamford will be handing out face masks to residents for the next few days. Stamford’s Emergency Response Management team will hold mask distributions for residents every day for the next three days as part of the city’s ongoing initiative to provide more masks to staff and residents in Stamford. “Stamford’s initial priority has been to provide emergency response providers with personal protective equipment, but the goal has always been to get the public access to these supplies to stop the spread of…

Nelson Rosales Santos, 49, has lived in Stamford for more than 30 years when he came to this country from Honduras in 1989. The hardworki…

Nearly 3,000 Eversource Electric Customers Still Without Power After Storm
Eversource reported that 2,832 electric customers in Connecticut were still without power on Thursday, March 8. Eversource has been informing the City of Stamford that its residents should expect an average of three days until power restoration, in many cases. Stamford Mayor David Martin said, “Unfortunately Stamford was hit hard by this storm with many trees and power lines down." "At this time Eversource is struggling to provide restoration in a timely manner. It appears that power restoration will take days and I am disappointed that they cannot provide better service," M…
