Firefighter Hospitalized After Blaze At Car Repair Shop In Fairfield: Building Severely Damaged
A stubborn blaze at a car repair shop in Fairfield County left the building with significant damage and resulted in a firefighter being taken to the hospital, fire officials said. The fire began on Monday, Nov. 20 around 1:30 p.m., when a blaze ignited at Kingsway Motors in Fairfield located at 705 Kings Highway East, according to the Fairfield Fire Department. Early Morning Fire Destroys Westport Barn, Apartment
A Fairfield County barn with an attached apartment was destroyed by an early morning fire. The incident took place in Westport around 6 a.m., Monday, June 5 on Old Hill Road. The first arriving firefighters found fire showing from the barn with all residents out of the building, said Westport Fire Department Assistant Chief Brian Meadows. Car Crashes Into Church-Owned Building In Danbury
A van crashed into a church-owned building in Danbury and caused considerable damage. The Danbury 911 center received calls regarding a vehicle that had crashed into the building at 39 New Street on Sunday, March 24 around 6:30 p.m. Members of the Danbury Fire Department arrived and discovered that the full-size van slammed into the building, which is a house owned by the Philadelphia Pentecostal Church and used as a rectory.
