Fairfield County Man Caught With Guns, Drugs After High-Speed Police Chase
A wanted man involved in a high-speed chase was found with guns and drugs after state police say they used tire spikes to stop him. Connecticut State Police troopers attempted to stop New Fairfield resident Edward Lasch, 32, in his Pontiac Grand Am shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Friday morning on Newtown Road in Danbury. Police said that Lasch, a convicted felon, refused to stop, leading to a police pursuit, which came to a quick conclusion when troopers used stop sticks to disable the car on Brinsmade Lane in Sherman.
