Weston Track Shines at Wesleyan Meet

WESTON, Conn. – Weston's boys and girls track teams put in strong performances in a indoor meet Saturday at Wesleyan University. Several Weston athletes qualified for the South-West Conference or state championship meets.

The top results among the girls included Emily Savage in the pole vault, 10 feet, 6 inches; long jumper Tess Fagan, 14 feet, 9 inches; Sarah Dietzman in the long jump, 14-10; Stephanie Thompson in the pole vault, 7 feet 6 inches; Andrea Janis in the pole vault, 7 feet 6 inches; Hannah Goodman in the 300, 45.03; Sydney Allon in the 300, 45.66; and Whitney Farber in the 600, 1:45.01.

In boys events, Larry Cass had an outstanding throw in the shot put with a distance of 42 feet, 7 inches. Other top performances among the boys included Jon Savicky in the 300, 38.37; David Stankiewicz in the 1,000, 2:43.5; Noah Krassin in the 1,000, 2:48; Cole Clark in the 1,600, 4:47; Jack Curren in the 600, 1:32.5; Jensen Frost in the 600, 1:32.0 and Nick DiBartolomeo in the pole vault, 9 feet 6 inches.
