Weston Runners Compete in Pequot Race

WESTON, Conn. – Steven Vento finished sixth overall to lead Weston runners in the Pequot Runners 5-mile road race on Thanksgiving Day in Fairfield. 

Vento, a former Weston High star who now runs for UConn, covered the Southport course in 27:19. Weston’s Brad DeMarco finished 10th and Ryan Gilmore finished 11th in a field of 4,223 finishers.

Cameron Marantz, of Philadelphia, won the race in 25:25. Meredith Anand, of Easton, led the women’s field in 28:49.

Weston’s Philip Merriss Jr. finished fifth in the men’s 60-69 age group. Complete results are available online.
