Weston Little League Celebrates End of Season

WESTON, Conn. – Weston Little League will celebrate the end of its season Saturday with a cookout and fundraiser titled Bisceglie Under The Stars.

President Rich Hassan said the initial plan was to have the players and some parents sleep out at Bisceglie Park, which is where the league plays most of its games. “We didn’t get a lot of responses, but people said they’d love to come have a party and then go home afterwards,’’ Hassan said. “So that’s we’re going to do.”

Hassan said the cookout will include a live band and will last from 6 to 10 p.m. The cookout will also be a fundraiser to help with capital improvements and programs for professional instruction. “We’ve never done a fundraiser before,’’ Hassan said.

Saturday will also feature championship games for AAA, National League and American League, beginning at 10 a.m.  More information is available on the Weston Little League website.
