The Weston boys and girls teams both earned berths in the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Class S finals this week. After a 16-4 win over Rocky Hill in the qualifying round, the 15th-seeded boys won their trip to the finals with underdog victories over No. 2 Brookfield, No. 7 East Catholic and No. 6 Morgan.

The Trojan boys will face 13th-seeded St. Joseph’s in the finals Saturday. Their game is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk.

The lady Trojans entered their tournament as the No. 2 seed with a 15-1 regular season record and a Southwest Conference Division II championship. The girls rattled off wins over Morgan, Bethel and Northwest Catholic to reach the Class S finals this weekend.

Weston will face top-ranked, undefeated Haddam-Killingworth on Saturday. The match is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Bunnell High School in Stratford.

Joel Barlow, ranked No. 2 in Class M, faces No. 17th-ranked Wilton in the finals Saturday. The Falcons defeated third-seeded New Canaan in their semifinal match Wednesday. Barlow won 5-4 in overtime on a goal by Jack Shaban.

A Barlow win Saturday would be the Falcons’ first win in Class M. The Falcons won the Class S championship in 2012 and a Division II title in 2002, but the 2013 season marks their first in the tougher Class M. The match is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. at Brien McMahon.
