Weston Girls Lacrosse Begins State Title Defense

WESTON, Conn. — It could be argued that no other lacrosse team in the state surprised more than the Weston High girls team last season. The Trojans took off in the Class S state tournament and hung on in a wild final to win their first state championship in school history.

In the above video, second year head coach Megan Murphy talks about that magical run and what is in store for the Trojans in 2012. Weston faces a tougher schedule this season, including some challenging out-of-conference matchups.

The Weston girls begin their 2012 campaign at home on Wednesday, hosting Masuk at 5:30 p.m.
