Weston Football Players Plan Car Wash

WESTON, Conn. – The Weston High School football team will host its annual car wash on Saturday, May 26, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 35 Norfield Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cars will be hand-washed and dried free of charge, but donations are accepted. Everyone getting a car wash is invited to enjoy complimentary hot dogs and soda, courtesy of Johnny’s Roadside Grill.

Donations to the Trojans are put to good use, including helping to cover the cost of the team’s annual preseason training camp. Coach Joe Lato also ensures that his football players give back to the Weston community.

Throughout the year, the team volunteers for various community services under the direction of the coaches. These yearly activities include chopping and delivering wood for the Weston Warm-Up Fund, fundraising for Relay for Life, supporting the Memorial Day Weekend Road Race and providing a helping hand at various school and community events.
