Weston Eighth Grade Football Team Continues Win Streak

WESTON, Conn. – Weston’s eighth grade football league is having quite the debut season in the Fairfield County Football League.

Weston defeated Norwalk on Saturday, 18-6, to improve to 5-0 on the season. Weston is one of three eighth grade teams still unbeaten, along with two teams from Darien. Weston is not scheduled to meet either Darien team during the regular season.

Saturday’s victory was another team effort for the Junior Trojans. Alex Fruhbeis ran for two touchdowns and Jason Lawrence added another score.

Weston meets Wilton Blue on Saturday at 8 p.m. in Wilton.
