Weston Boys Win Wilton Invitational

WESTON, Conn. – David Stankiewicz’s finished second overall as the Weston High boys cross country team won the small school division of the Wilton Invitational Saturday at Allen's Meadows.

Stankiewicz covered the 3.15-mile course in 16:50, 57 seconds behind winner Connor Rog of Fairfield Prep. Prep won the large-school division of the meet.

Weston finished with 39 points in the schools race, edging Guilford by eight points. The Trojans also got strong runs from Noah Krassin (12th overall), Brad DeMarco (17th, 17:55), Matt Bolin (18th, 18:03) and Will Glaser (24th, 18:22). Matt Proctor (18:32) and Michael Aaron (19:38) rounded out Weston's top seven. DeMarco is the team's only senior.

In the boys junior varsity race, Connor Gorkin took sixth and Sam Augustyn 10th. Cole Clark came in third in the boys freshman race.
