Weston Boys Lacrosse Wins Third Straight in OT

WESTON, Conn. – Jack Scheufele’s third goal of the game came in overtime to give Weston’s boys lacrosse team a dramatic 8-7 win Saturday against Brookfield.

Matt Brooks and Sean Fumai added two goals apiece for Weston while Zach Kraft had one. Richie Miller and Fumai added assists. Grant Limone made nine saves in goal for Weston.

The victory was costly for the Trojans, however, as Lyle Mitchell left the game with a sprained ankle. Mitchell is one of the team’s top scorers.

Weston (5-2) has won three straight one-goal games. The Trojans face a key non-league contest when they host Staples at 5:45 p.m. Thursday.
