Weston Boys Beat Bunnell, Earn Playoff Bid

WESTON, Conn. – Lyle Mitchell scored 16 points, including a putback with eight seconds left in the game, as Weston stunned Bunnell, 63-61, in a South-West Conference boys basketball game Tuesday in Stratford.

The Trojans finish the regular season 12-8 overall and 8-6 in the conference. They will play in the first-round of the conference tournament Saturday. Final seedings for the tournament have not yet been determined.

Troy Flynn added 14 points and Max Molinsky had 10 for Weston. Mitchell also had 14 rebounds while Molinsky dished out five assists.

Weston finished the season on a four-game winning streak.
