Led by defending LL Connecticut state singles champion Danny Hirschberg, the Staples High School boys tennis team maintained its undefeated run by topping No. 4 seed New Canaan High, 4-2, in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference semifinals. Staples will face Greenwich in the finals at Wilton High at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Greenwich is a perennial FCIAC powerhouse, winning FCIAC title from 2002-2009. New Canaan won the title last year.
