Staples Cheerleading Championships Routine To Air On TV

WESTPORT, Conn. – If you missed Staples High School’s performance in the 16th annual Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference cheerleading championships last Saturday, you can catch it on TV next month.

The competition will be aired Sunday, March 10, during MSG Varsity's 90-minute special, “The Cheering Life: 2013 FCIAC Cheerleading Championships.” The program will start at 9 p.m. on Optimum TV, Channel 14.

The show will highlight the 15 Connecticut high school cheering squads that participated and will feature interviews, full routine coverage and awards presentations.

Staples finished eighth in the competition. Other schools that participated include Danbury, Darien, Fairfield Ludlowe, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Brien McMahon, St. Joseph, Stamford, Trinity Catholic, Trumbull, Warde, Westhill and Wilton.
