The Mariners finished as the top seed in the league with a 17-3 record. They swept the New Canaan Cannons in the semifinals, 4-1 and 10-0. Monroe (14-6 in the regular season) defeated the Bridgeport Dodgers in the semifinals.

The fifth-seeded Stamford Phillies advanced to the President's Cup finals by defeating the Westport Cardinals. Westport won Game 1, 7-4, but Stamford returned Sunday to win by scores of 9-0 and 11-3. Westport, the No. 8 seed, finished 7-13 in the regular season. It was one of the league's hottest teams, however, heading into the playoffs.
