WESTON, Conn. -- Peter's Spirits is playing for its second straight title in the Weston Women's Softball League Tuesday at 6 p.m. when it meets the Weed Wackers at Hurlbutt Elementary School.
Peter's defeated the Weed Wackers, 9-8, in dramatic fashion last week in the winners bracket final. Peter's scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth after overcoming a 7-2 deficit earlier in the game. The Weed Wackers had their own exciting victory, defeating the 20-30-40 Somethings in the losers bracket final last Thursday.
Peter's won the league title last year, completing a worst-to-first turnaround after winning just two games during the 2009 season.
