EASTON, Conn. Joel Barlows girls track and field team defeated Weston, Oxford and Masuk on Monday to finish the season at 15-0. It was the second straight year the Falcons have gone undefeated against South-West Conference teams.
Barlow beat Weston, 79-71; Oxford, 109-41; and Masuk, 116-34. The Falcons will be one of the teams in contention for the title at Mondays league championship at Bethel High School. The meet begins at 3 p.m.
Barlow athletes have set or tied three school records this season. Hannah Makowske tossed the discus 102 feet, 5 inches, Brittany Dumas pole vaulted 9 feet to tie the record and the 4 x 800 relay team of Caitlin Neary, Bea Blackwell, Jill Marini and Olivia Wilson set the new standard with a time of 9:54.6.
Barlow is coached by Dan Spinner and Ryan Swift.
