WESTPORT, Conn. Junior center Sean Obi scored 14 points and grabbed 26 rebounds Wednesday to lead Greens Farms Academys boys basketball team to a 68-61 win over Masters School in a Fairchester Athletic Association game in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
The Dragons improved to 9-3 overall and 6-3 in the league. Masters is 6-3, 3-3.
Tremont Waters scored 16 to lead Greens Farms. Patrick Ryan of Darien added 14 points and seven rebounds, while Westports Brien Comey had six points and 13 rebounds. Matt Tate of Greenwich dished out eight assists.
Obi is ranked No. 3 in the country in rebounds with 18.7 per game, while Tate is ranked second among New England Prep school players with 7.5 assists per game. Statistics are kept by maxpreps.com. Click here for a videolink to the game.
Its always a quality win, when you get one against a Matt Kammrath (Masters) coached team, Greens Farms coach Doug Scott said. He throws so many defensive looks at you; you have to be able to execute a large chunk of your playbook. And all of your roster must play well. We had a bunch of quality performances.
Greens Farms travels to New Haven on Saturday to meet Hopkins.
