Fairfield County Runner Top CT Finisher in Boston

Timothy Perry of Norwalk was the first Connecticut runner to cross the finish line Monday at the Boston Marathon. He completed the 26.2-mile race from Hopkinton, Mass., to Boston in 2:30:57. He was 104th overall and 87th among male finishers.

Perry, 27, averaged 5:46 per mile. He led a parade of local finishers.  Westport's Blake Benke was fourth among state runners in 2:37:23. Stamford's Jeffrey Watson, 29, ran 2:46:59 (eighth among state runners) and Christopher Barrett of Fairfield was ninth in 2:48.44.

Riverside's Sharon Vos ran 3:10:54. The 56-year-old runner finished fourth in her age group. Complete results of the Boston Marathon are on the race's website. Watch Main Street Connect sites for more information as the runners continue to finish.

Caroline Kilel of Kenya won the women's race. Geoffrey Mutai, also of Kenya, won the men's race.
