Thomas, the owner/director of Personal Training Professionals in Southport, also won a sprint triathlon on Aug. 17 in Laconia, N.H.
In Sunday’s race in Bridgeport, Thomas won in 1:52.14 for the race that included 1.5 kilometer swim, 40-kilometer bike ride and 10k run. Thomas won by nearly three minutes over Shane Arters of Morristown, N.J. David Ellis of Milford took third, followed by Joseph Turcsanyi.
In the Timberman Sprint in New Hampshire, Thomas blazed through a 15:19 5k and won by nearly two minutes. There were 789 finishers.
On Aug. 18, Thomas finished 14th in the 70.3 mile triathlon in Lanconia. He was the third amateur in an international field that had 2,037 finishers.
Earlier this summer, Thomas won the Stamford KIC It and Pat Griskus Triathlons. He is preparing for the Ironman 70.3 mile World Championship in September and the Ironman World Championships in October.
