EASTON, Conn. The Easton Police PBA Green Goblins softball team won the District 1 Little League Tournament of Champions title Sunday with a 9-3 victory over Darien at the Redding Boys and Girls Club.
The girls finished the season with an 8-1-1 record, their only loss a 14-13 setback on May 6 to Criscuolo Design Build in league play. The Green Goblins also beat Ridgefield in the semifinals, 10-6. The team plays in the Redding-Easton Softball League and is a program of the Redding Boys and Girls Club.
Team members include Laine Capshaw, Caitlin Colangelo, Gabrielle Colangelo, Ashleigh Eden, Dileka Gunanardana, Vanessa Loo, Mackenzie Lynch, Esme Miano, Erica Pajonas and Madison Robinson. They are coached by Rich Colangelo and Denise Lynch.
