Runners from many Main Street Connect communities were among the finishers in Saturdays Sam Elpern Half Marathon in Norwalk. Tim Milenkevich won the race, while Norwalk's Julie Heaphy captured the women's division. Both also earned the series title in the Lightfoot Running Club's summer series, based on their finishes in the six-race event.
Darien's Brad Wellington finished third overall and first in the men's 30-39 age group.
Other age-group winners included Easton's Calla McNamara, first among women 20-29; Westport's Eric Friedland, fourth among men 30-39; Weston's Pat Marafiote, third among men 50-59; Wilton's Elizabeth Craig, second among women 50-59; and Fairfield's Aili DiBonaventura, fifth among women 50-59.
