WESTON, Conn. The first year teacher salary in Weston is $49,073, in Easton, its $45,079 and in Redding, its $45,521.
This information was gleaned from the teacher contract database just released by ConnCAN, the Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now, a state level education advocacy group. The database provides access to teachers contracts from 173 out of 174 local education agencies, including public schools districts, regional districts, charter schools and technical high schools.
According to ConnCAN, this is the first time in the states history a statewide source for all things school contract related is available.
A variety of data, from salary to union affiliation and number of teaching days can be found, along with analyses of key contract provisions, district to district comparisons and links to PDFs of every contract in the database.
